My new little NuCamp rig at Charlevoix all loaded up before my Sept. 2021 U.P. trip

Inside (it's small!) and the outdoor "clamshell" kitchen area.

A beautifully still Moccasin Lake with fantastic fall color in the morning near Bruno's Run mountain bike trail south of Munising.
(It's a 10 mile loop, and I rode it a couple of times on the trip. It's a great ride.)

Sandy relaxing at a sandy beach (!) at Sand Point Beach area next to Lake Superior.
(Grand Island in the background.)

Nightly campfire at the KOA near Munising where I camped.

Two of the many waterfalls I visited - there are dozens in the area. (Horseshoe (left) and Wagner (right)

Another waterfall - Au Train Falls. At this one some "clever" tourists had built large rock piles out of flat rocks they collected and placed in the river. Well guess what - I dismantled them all! Some people walked up while I was doing it and I told that that I was a Sierra Club member and our type wanted the wilderness left unblemished. They all seemed to agree and even encouraged me to get rid of a couple of smaller ones I had missed. I felt good about the effort but kinda wished I had gotten a before and after photo.

My kayak on Miner's Beach before heading out into Superior to explore the cliffs. There had been some recent fatalities in the area and I was very conscious of the weather, wind in particular obviously. I didn't stray too far from the beach and it worked out, but I will admit to being a bit uneasy at first.

Lot's of great shots out kayaking near the cliffs. This was a fantastic paddle. Something unique to this area, and something most people will never get to do. I was glad I came prepared as I really enjoyed it.

On top of the big dunes west of Grand Marais - Log Slide Overlook (looking west towards Au Sable Light House)

Log Slide Overlook (looking east). . . . . . . . . . . Sable Falls near Sable Beach and Grand Marais

Upper Tahquamenon Falls.

Great picture of my rig and the Mackinaw Bridge on a foggy day on the last day of the trip.

Big Mac in the mist.
